How Much Does a Luxury Bathroom Cost in West Yorkshire?

It is the first question almost everyone asks, and the honest answer is: it depends on what you want the room to do and how you want it to feel. To make that answer more useful, here is what our recent bathrooms actually cost, and where the money goes.

The short answer

For a fully designed, supplied and fitted luxury bathroom in West Yorkshire, most of our clients invest between £15,000 and £30,000. Our bathroom projects start from £10,000 plus VAT. That figure covers everything: design, products, strip-out, plumbing, electrics, plastering, tiling, fitting and finishing.

Prices you see online for a "new bathroom" can be far lower, but they usually mean a like-for-like suite swap with basic tiles. A luxury bathroom is a different job entirely.

Three real projects, three budgets

Where the money goes

Every bathroom is different, but the budget usually splits into four parts.

1. Labour and installation

Strip-out, first-fix plumbing and electrics, boarding and plastering, tiling, second fix and finishing. This is often the largest single part of the cost, and the part where quality matters most. Level tiles, tight grout lines and clean silicone are what make a bathroom look expensive for years, not just on day one.

2. Tiles

Large-format porcelain looks stunning and has fewer grout lines, but it needs more preparation and skilled fitting. Tiling floor to ceiling, adding feature walls or tiling a wet-room tray all add to the cost, and to the finish.

3. Sanitaryware and brassware

Premium brands such as Villeroy & Boch, Porcelanosa, Waters Baths of Ashbourne, Crosswater, Vado and Burlington cost more than budget ranges, but they last longer, feel better to use and come with proper manufacturer warranties. Brushed brass, bronze and other designer finishes typically cost more than chrome.

4. The details

This is where a bathroom goes from nice to exceptional, and where budgets grow: underfloor heating, lit niches, bespoke worktops, LED mirrors, drop-down ceilings with concealed lighting and wet-room style showers.

What pushes the price up

  • Moving things around. Relocating the toilet, shower or bath can mean moving the soil pipe and waste, which adds labour.
  • Wet rooms and level-access showers. These need careful waterproofing and floor work.
  • Bespoke joinery and worktops. Granite, quartz and made-to-measure vanities cost more than off-the-shelf units.
  • Lighting schemes. Layered lighting looks incredible but needs planning and electrical work.
  • Older properties. Uneven walls, old pipework or electrics that need updating.

How to get the most from your budget

Spend on the things you touch and see every day: the shower, the brassware and the tiles. Keep the layout where it is if it already works. And always see the design in 3D before you commit, because changing your mind halfway through a job is the most expensive decision you can make.

Every Harrier bathroom starts with a free home survey and a free 3D design, followed by a fixed, itemised quotation. You will know exactly what you are getting and exactly what it costs before any work begins. Finance is also available, subject to status.
